Volvo Penta IPS1350 is ideal for yachts from 60 to 120ft. As the most powerful engine in the IPS range, the 12.8L in-line 6-cylinder D13, combines fuel injection with twin-entry turbocharging. The result is an engine, transmission and IPS3 pod that are perfectly matched. Twin counter-rotating propellers drive the boat forward while the Electronic Vessel Control system (EVC) keeps a watchful eye – meaning you can enjoy unparalleled comfort and performance, excellent maneuverability and exceptional cruising range.

To deliver 1000hp on demand, the D13 engine and IPS30 pod are designed and built to withstand immense forces. Upgraded pistons, camshafts, injectors and cooling systems all play their part to ensure a compact, robust and highly efficient package that is easy to install and maintain.

As the most powerful package in the IPS range, the D13-IPS1350 is ideal for yachts 60-120ft. The D13-IPS1350SD version is specially designed to power larger, semi-displacement yachts. The torque curve has been expertly modified to cope with higher thrust loads at slower speeds. The D13-IPS1350SD also has a wider speed range down to 19 knots.

Despite it’s high output and swept volume, the engine and pod is extremely compact allowing yacht designers to optimize internal architecture without sacrificing accessibility during maintenance. Available as twin or triple installation, the D13-IPS1350 optimizes power, weight and space.
