Volvo Penta D13-1000 is Volvo Penta Leisure’s most powerful engine yet and ideal for yachts with Inboard shaft. The 12.8L in-line 6-cylinder D13, combines fuel injection with twin-entry turbocharging to deliver a massive 1000hp on demand. A strong and highly efficient engine designed to meet the needs of larger motor yachts; the D13 delivers a world-class power-to-weight ratio resulting in excellent comfort, reliability and longer cruising range.

The engine is designed and built to be immensely strong, with a rigid cast-iron cylinder block and cylinder head. This gives high reliability and long-term durability.

To deliver 1000hp on demand, the D13 engine is designed to withstand immense forces. Pistons, camshafts, injectors and cooling systems all play their part to ensure a world-class power-to-weight ratio.

Despite it’s high output and swept volume, the D13 is extremely compact allowing yacht designers to optimize internal architecture without sacrificing accessibility during maintenance.

The high-tech fuel injection system helps make the engine highly fuel-efficient. The control unit monitors a range of parameters to reduce overall fuel consumption resulting in longer cruising range.

Volvo Penta Electronic Vessel Control fully integrates the engine, transmission and electronics together with a unique range of optional features, such as Single-lever Mode, Cruise Control, Glass Cockpit and more. E-Key is standard.
